2012 Fairbury Fair lineup revealed

FAIRBURY – Events for this year’s Fairbury Fair have been announced.
The 136th fair will run August 15-19 at the Fairbury Fairgrounds. This year’s fair managers are Sally Goembel and Jim Scharer.
The Wednesday of the fair will feature stock car races and a DJ dance. Thursday will feature the talent show, presentation of the Friend of the Fair award and a karaoke contest. Friday will have the demolition derby and a performance from the Back Paiges. Saturday’s events include stock car racing and a performance from Big on Blondes. Sunday includes a church service, antique farm display and a mini-rod and farm stock tractor pull.
Fair attractions will include Balster’s Magic Productions, Noah’s Way Exotic Petting Zoo and an acapella group from Marion.
Other activities include the 5K run and walk, euchre tournament, pizza eating contest, baggo tournament, chili cookoff and face painting.
