Some Pontiac firefighters have been promoted. Todd Tissiere was appointed fire lieutenant before the Pontiac City Council Monday night, while Joe Hassinger was appointed fire engineer. Tissiere has been with the department since 1985, while Hassinger as been a paid, on-call firefighter since 2005. In other matters, the city council approved a change of zoning classification to allow the expansion of a parking lot at Dairy Queen, and approved façade grants for Livingston Family Care Center and State Farm Agent Rick Renzelman, using TIF funds. Mayor McCoy will be the guest on Tuesday morning’s WJEZ Community Forum at 9:05, talking more about the city council meeting.
