PTHS and St. Mary's registration this week

Registration for all students at St. Mary’s School in kindergarten through the eighth grade takes place Wednesday from noon to six in the school’s new addition. Anyone on vacation should register in the office next week from 8 to 2. The school office is now reopen for the year. The 2008-2009 St. Mary’s orientation will be held from 8 to 3 on Monday, August 18. Students will start the year with a shortened day on Tuesday the 19 and the school’s hot weather schedule goes into effect on Wednesday August 20. Busing service will not be available until the school returns to its regular schedule.

Registration for all Pontiac High School students takes place Thursday and Friday. Thursday registration will be open from 11 to 2 and 4 to 7. Friday registration will be held from 9 to 11 and 1 to 3. During that time, fees will be collected for necessary workbooks and courses. Physical education uniforms are required and may be purchased locally. The first day of attendance for all PTHS students will be Monday, August 18. The day begins with an all-school assembly and school will be dismissed at 2:35. There will also be a mandatory mini-schedule for all incoming freshmen and transfer students on Friday August 15 from 11:30 to 3:10. The buses will run regular routes starting August 18.
