County receives proposals for Livingston Manor
County receives proposals for Livingston Manor
The Livingston County Board’s nursing home committee has received some proposals from companies that would like to be involved with the future of Livingston Manor. PRISM Healthcare would like to take over operations at the home and eventually build a new facility. Management Performance Associates, or MPA, is proposing that the county retain ownership of the home. MPA currently manages the facility.   A third proposal came from Good Samaritan Home, which would like to build a new facility. Nursing Home Committee Chair Dave Heath says a subcommittee will now review the proposals. The entire county board could possibly make a decision on the future of the home in September. The county has been looking to get out of the nursing home business for some time.
