Livingston Manor decision could come next month
Livingston Manor decision could come next month
The Livingston County Board could decide next month which company will take over the county-owned Livingston Manor. The county’s nursing home committee will hold a special meeting later this month to hear presentations from applicants. Committee Chair Dave Heath says the applicant that will be chosen must meet certain requirements set by the county. In a sometimes-heated discussion at Wednesday's nursing home committee meeting, many in attendance urged the county to retain the home’s current management company, MPA, rather than having an outside company take over operations and ownership. County Attorney Tom Blakeman says MPA’s proposal does not state that the company will build and own a new home, like the county’s Request for Proposal currently states.
Many attending the meeting accused county board members of not listening to their constituents.
