PONTIAC - A California man is facing drug charges here in Livingston County.
Nothing new in warden investigation
PONTIAC - Officials remain tight-lipped on the investigation surrounding the acting warden at the Pontiac Correctional Center.
The Illinois Department of Corrections issued a statement Friday saying Randy Pfister will be placed on administrative leave due to an ongoing investigation.
Springfield woman faces charges
PONTIAC - A Springfield woman is accused of possessing cannabis and hydrocodone in Livingston County.

PONTIAC - Two people have been charged with unlawful possession of cannabis in Livingston County Court.
Tarowe Evans, 34, of Danville and Nereida Crosby of Rocky Ford, Colorado, will both appear in court later this month for preliminary hearings.
Group votes to keep Dwight open
SPRINGFIELD - A legislative commission will advise Gov. Pat Quinn to keep the Dwight and Tamms Correctional Centers open.
The ten member Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability voted seven to three Tuesday.

Woman’s seizure leads to car crash
CHENOA - A Chenoa apartment complex sustained extensive damage after an SUV crashed into the building on Sunday afternoon.
Authorities say the woman who was driving had a seizure and her 10-year-old son took over the steering wheel to avoid hitting other vehicles.
