Fighting Illini continue skid

The Illini have dropped seven of their last eight games. Another 67 – 62 loss to Purdue last night in Champaign may be the final straw that takes Illinois out of NCAA contention.

The Illini are going to have to pull off some major upsets in the remainder of their Big Ten schedule or do well in the conference tournament if they want any chance at salvaging the season.

It”s probably a good bet that Bruce Weber didn’t sleep very well last night. The seat just got a little hotter.
