Man faces battery charge

PONTIAC – A Pontiac man has been charged with aggravated battery and resisting a peace officer, in Livingston County Court.

Matthew Runyon, 19,  is accused of grabbing and pushing a pregnant woman on Monday, according to Livingston County Court records.  Runyon also reportedly struggled with a Pontiac Police officer by twisting his body and trying to trip the officer.

Runyon’s bail was set at $25,000 this week and he is due back in court February 22 for a preliminary hearing.
