A Monday morning accident, shortly before 8, left a Carlock man injured.

The two car accident, which occurred on West Reynolds at Rittenhouse Drive, happened when James Edinger, 39, of Pontiac, made a left hand turn from West Reynolds onto Rittenhouse Drive, colliding with the vehicle driven by William Moyer, 62, of Carlock.

Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and had to be towed from the scene.

Moyer was taken to OSF Saint James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center by Duffy Ambulance. He was later transferred to St. Francis, Peoria, where he was listed in good condition.

Edinger was cited for failure to yield when making a left turn.
