The Pontiac City Council had a light agenda last night with a handful of requests considered.
Debbie Warren requested the 1100 through 1300 block have reserved parking May 2, as a wedding would be taking place at the Truth Tabernacle and she was concerned the parking lot wouldn’t be sufficient. Aldermen chose to deny the request, but several gave other options for parking to consider.

Bids are out for several projects including the Henry Street sewer project, as well as bids to install equipment and build the splash pad.
A TIF agreement was also agreed upon with AT Recycling for parking lot and roof work. The total price tag on the project is $298,500, with approximately $72,750 coming from TIF funds.
A resolution authorizing the sale and conveyance of surplus city-owned real estate was also approved. The city owns four tracts of real estate, which have been appraised, have a combined appraised value of $57,100.
