Pair Arrested on Drug Charges in Pontiac

To Pontiac residents have been arrested and are facing drug charges after the Livingston County Proactive Unit made a traffic stop and executed a subsequent search warrant on a residence.

According to Livingston County Sheriff Tony Childress, an investigation led to the traffic stop shortly before noon on Tuesday near Pontiac. During that traffic stop, Samuel Ayers was arrested and his 1998 Dodge truck was seized.

In conjunction to that stop, Brittany Casey was also arrested on a warrant. A search warrant was conducted at the residence of Ayers and additional heroin and drug paraphernalia was seized as evidence.

Assisting the unit included the Livingston County Police Patrol and Pontiac Police.

Childress said the investigation is ongoing.
