United Way Makes Goal at the Last Second

The United Way Celebration was held Thursday night, and the organization was able to share some exciting news with its board and donors.

Deb Howard, executive director of the United Way of Livingston County, said they had not made their goal in a few years, but this year, Caterpillar stepped in to help them come up with the remaining $7,000 and the goal was $192,500 for the year.

“The most exciting thing is the fact we can help the people in the county at 100 percent funding and not with a 15 percent cut,” Howard said.

Howard also recognized Gary Bressner, who was named the new chairperson and Dee and Mike Ingles will also chair the next Advance Drive.
