The Red Carpet Corridor ushered in some new exhibits in Pontiac, open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week all summer long.
Rebecca Black, tourism specialist for the City of Pontiac, said the Bob Waldmire Experience and Music of the Civil War opened, along with the move of the Walldog Mural Museum, to the Old City Hall Complex last weekend.
Black said the Bob Waldmire experience is full of Waldmire’s works, from early art to later pieces, and the Music of the Civil War was accompanied by live performances, with plans to continue those in the future. She also spoke of the music of Abraham Lincoln.
“There are 25 pieces Lincoln listened to, from the lullaby his mom sang him when he was a baby to two hours before he was assassinated at Ford’s Theatre,” Black said.
The Guilders also opened at the former Walldog location on Mill Street and Black said people watched the group work, ranging from older ways to guild to the newer, modern techniques.
