The annual Memorial Day service is planned for Monday with ceremonies on the Mill Street Bridge and Southside Cemetery in Pontiac.
The parade will step off at Central School at 10:30 a.m. The service will be held indoors at Central School in the event of rain.
After the wreath ceremony on the Mill Street Bridge, the parade will continue to Southside Cemetery for several poems, songs and prayers. Speaker of the Day is Don Fortna, US Navy veteran.
Bands participating in the parade include the Pontiac Municipal Band, Pontiac Township High School Band, Pontiac Junior High Band and St. Mary’s Band.
The Jolly Trolley will be available for any veteran interested in riding in the parade.
