The Christian Laettner Basketball Weekend is drawing near and today is the last day to register with the guarantee of receiving a camp T-shirt.
The clinics for students in grades kindergarten through 12th will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 6, with a special meet and greet scheduled at 6 p.m. at Pontiac Township High School.
Laettner told WJEZ’s own Mark Myre how excited he is to come to Pontiac for the camps and he’s looking forward to meeting all the people involved.
“I love hanging out and I make myself available for pictures, autographs and anything they want, because the kids today want to put it on Twitter or Facebook. That’s what I’m there for. I’m there so people can take advantage of it and come take a picture with me if they want,” Laettner said. “I’m really looking forward to it. Cannot wait.”
A coaching clinic will also be held Sunday from 1-3 p.m.
