The Angels in Heaven Memorial Weekend is quickly approaching and event organizers are looking for people to enjoy all the festivities in honor of the two children from Fairbury who died tragically.

Tori and Alec Crutcher passed away from injuries sustained from a motor vehicle accident in July of 2010 during a family vacation. The two have since been remembered annually with a balloon launch, live music, golf outing and the memorial ride.

Connie Cook, spokesperson for the event and one of the survivors of the accident, said the ride had more than 175 motorcycles last year, along with a number of cars. She also said money raised from the event goes to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, the Boys and Girls Club of Fairbury and the Angels in Heaven Memorial Fund, which creates scholarships and helps families in need.
