The Vermillion Players will be starting their season with Cole Porter’s “Anything Goes,” beginning Thursday and running through Sunday.

Director Tom Ramseyer said the cast and crew have come together to put forth a great production.

“Our cast for the show is comprised of about 35, maybe a few more people, so it’s a great mix of people and they cover their parts well,” Ramseyer said. “We also have a full combo pit band.”

Sean Young , who has a leading role in the production, said people who are looking for a good laugh will enjoy watching.

“This is one of the funniest shows I’ve ever been a part of. We’ve had a great cast and great music. If you’re liking something where you see people dance, and great dances and great music and you just want to laugh your butt off, just come to the show,” Young said. “You’ll have a great time and we’ll put on a great performance for you.”

The musical begins at Chautauqua Park Pavilion at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are sold at the door.

Ramseyer and cast members will be guests Thursday morning on Community Forum with Todd Wineburner.
