The District 90 Board of Education met last night and discussed some of the finances for the district, especially the wait time for the school funding from Springfield.
Superintendent Jon Kilgore said many decisions need to be made 60 to 45 days before the end of the school year. Now, a week into June, the districts still don’t have a budget to work with.
“That is very frustrating in the fact there is a lot of politics being played out in Springfield and could be throughout much of the summer makes it all that much harder for us planning for next year as the school year approaches,” Kilgore said.”
Kilgore will be a guest on Community Forum with Todd Wineburner later this morning and a podcast of the interview will be available on WJEZ.com later in the day.
