The Livingston County Board placed a tie vote concerning denying the special use permit for the Pleasant Ridge Wind Farm Thursday night, but that vote may not hold.
During Community Forum with Todd Wineburner Friday morning, Livingston County Board Chairman Fannin admitted to making a mistake in his vote, even after explaining to the crowd several times a “yea” vote meant agreeing to deny the application.
“My vote would have been the vote to end this and I screwed up,” Fannin said. “For admitting this, I’m probably going to catch a lot of heck, but it’s eating me up and I just can’t do it. I’m going to do my best to make right what I’ve done wrong. I’m not happy with myself.”
Fannin said he is planning to circulate a petition among the county board members so a special meeting can be held. If that happens, Fannin could make a motion for reconsideration and there may be an outcome to this vote sooner than July’s meeting.
