Eleventh Circuit Judge Jennifer Bauknecht was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Illinois Judges Association.

This will be her second term serving and she will serve a three-year term.

Bauknecht said the association is comprised of active and retired Illinois State Court Judges and is a volunteer effort.

“I think the biggest, most important thing of the Illinois Judges Association is the desire to provide education to the public so they understand better the role of the judiciary and how our judges are doing more across the state than simply sitting in a courtroom,” Bauknecht said.

Bauknecht has served as a judge for ten years and a circuit judge for seven.
