At the Pontiac Fire and Police Commission meeting Monday, all charges against Officer Daron Bagnell were dismissed.
Pontiac Police Chief Jim Woolford said Bagnell has completed the suspension, additional training and voluntarily withdrawn his rank.
“Officer Bagnell has worked a shift. He’s out there and his supervisors have given him great reviews so far,” Woolford said. “We’re back to our full staff and we’re ready to keep going.”
This disciplinary action stems from obstruction of justice charges in McLean County from a 2013 motorcycle accident, from which Bagnell was acquitted.
