‘Mob action’ nets three weekend arrests

The Pontiac Police arrested three Blackstone residents over the weekend on battery and mob action charges.

According to Pontiac Police Major Dan Davis, a group of people congregated in the 1200 block of Nixon Drive late Saturday night after learning of a family member’s altercation earlier in the day.

Upon arrival, the altercation re-ignited, causing a fight involving baseball bats and broom handles.

Zachary Harlan was arrested for aggravated battery and Beth Cosby and Timothy Cosby were arrested for simple battery. The three were also arrested on mob action charges.

One person was injured during the altercation.
