The Central Illinois Iron Pigs Motorcycle Club’s annual Casey Kohlmeier Memorial Ride is set for Saturday.

The day begins with registration at Freaksters Roadhouse on Custer Avenue in Pontiac with the ride beginning at noon.

Nick Taylor, club member, said this ride has grown every year and with about 200 people already registered, they expect it to be a big event.

“Last year, we were a little over 100, and we’re expecting double,” Taylor said. “We raised $6,000 last year. All the money went to Illinois Special Olympics. This year, we’re hoping for over $10,000.”

The ride will end at approximately 5:45 p.m. at Freakster’s Roadhouse, with a live band, food, prizes and items available for auction.

This event will benefit the Illinois Special Olympics and the Torch Runners of Leg 18.
