The Pontiac 66ers are coming to Pontiac in January!
It was announced the new expansion team for the Midwest Professional Basketball Association is making its home in Pontiac. The team will play games at Pontiac Township High School and is being operated as a joint venture between the MPBA and a group of local investors.
A press conference will be held in the near future to announce the head coach, general manager and other office positions, as well as unveiling the Pontiac 66ers official logo.
Ed Schumer, chief executive officer and commissioner for the MPBA will be a guest on the early edition of the Community Forum Wednesday morning to talk about more details of the new venture.
