Rolling Stone magazine did a ranking of all 141 cast members of Saturday Night Live. I was somewhat surprised by some of them.

At #141, we have Robert Downey Jr. Yes, he spent the 1985-86 season doing nothing memorable!

The Top 10:

#10: Chevy Chase. He also spent just one season on the show – Season #1.

#9: Gilda Radner. She was also an original cast member.

#8: Amy Poehler.

#7: Phil Hartman.

#6: Bill Murray. He was the first “new guy,” who replaced Chevy Chase.

#5:Dan Aykroyd, another original cast member.

#4: Mike Myers. Austin Powers himself.

#3: Tina Fey. She not only rocked the Weekend Update, but was one of the main writers on the show.

#2: Eddie Murphy. He single handedly kept the show afloat for the five years creator Lorne Michaels was MIA.

#1: John Belushi. He was another original cast member. Do you know he actually cut someone’s head open with the samurai sword? It’s true!

Who is your favorite? I love, love the original cast, but I have to say my absolute favorite is Will Ferrell. I literally laugh at everything he does. Could I have some more cowbell please?
