The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department will be hosting a special Halloween event, sponsored by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Deputies Wives Saturday night from 5:30 to 7.

Sheriff Tony Childress said this is a safe alternative for regular trick or treating.

“They’re going to have popcorn, hot chocolate and we’re preparing to have plenty of candy for those children who want to come by on Halloween. Once again, a fun and safe alternative for Halloween night,” Childress said.

The sheriff’s department is located at 844 W. Lincoln Street in Pontiac.
