Life Center for Independent Living is planning on keeping its doors open, even while its budget is waiting for state funding.

Associate Director Jill Doran was a guest on a recent community forum and said they will do everything they can to keep services, like independent living skills training, community education and peer mentoring happening for DeWitt, Ford, McLean and Livingston counties.

“Our Livingston County Office actually is a large portion of federal funding, which is a good thing. We also receive United Way funding, which is awesome for the county. So, those monies are helping to keep those services in Livingston County,” Doran said.
