The Corn Belt and Okaw Valley have a announced a merger for the 2017-18 school year. The new conference will be named the Illini Prairie Conference. The Pontiac Indians and the Prairie Central Hawks will be the teams from Livingston County. The new conference was named after the student bodies of all participating schools chose their favorite conference names and submitted them for consideration by the principals. Illini Prairie Central was the unanimous choice.
