Man wanted for attempted murder of a police officer

The Illinois State Police are warning residents of a man wanted for attempted murder of a police officer.

State police said a Mahomet officer was involved in a shooting late Saturday night. The suspect, Dracy “Clint” Pendleton, is believed to have sustained wounds in the confrontation. He is also believed to be armed with an AK-47.

He is described as a white male, 35 years old, 5’10”, 155 pounds with blue eyes and blonde hair. According to the Champaign County State’s Attorney’s office, his bond is set at $5 million and there is currently a warrant for his arrest.
