A 2016 Prairie Central High School graduate was recently awarded a scholarship from Mediacom Communications.

The $1,000 scholarship is part of the company’s World Class Scholarship Program, and Laine Hoenegger of Forrest was one of the 55 graduating seniors to receive the scholarship, which was created to provide support for students’ post-secondary education.

Recipients must attend an accredited two or four year college, university or technical school within the United States to qualify for this scholarship.
