The CornBelters dropped their fifth straight game with a 7-2 loss at the Gateway Grizzlies. The Belters try to salvage a game in the Metro East of St. Louis tonight.

The San Jose Sharks are headed to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time after beating the Blues 5-2 in Game 6 of the Western Conference finals. The Eastern Conference finals will be decided tonight in Game 7 between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Penguins in Pittsburgh.
The Cleveland Cavaliers destroyed the Toronto Raptors 116-78 to take a 3-2 lead in the NBA Eastern Conference finals. The Oklahoma City Thunder visit the Golden State Warriors for Game 5 of the Western Conference finals tonight in Oakland with the Thunder leading 3-1.
In high school postseason play, Pontiac softball beat Prairie Central 10-0 in the Class 3A Regional to put the Indians in Saturday’s 11:00 championship game against Geneseo at Dunlap. Peotone beat Reed-Custer 4-1 in the 2A softball Sectional at Dwight. In the Class 1A baseball Sectional at Jack Horenberger Field in Bloomington, LeRoy beat Henry 8-6 and Ottawa Marquette eliminated Peoria Heights 6-4 to set up Saturday’s championship game.
