Are you planning a summer road trip? Let me help you make it a little less stressful!  Thrillist just ranked all 50 states by how bad they are for speed traps.  A website called Speedtrap.org tracks them.  So it’s basically the number of speed traps per capita.  Not exactly advanced analytics, but we’ll take it.

The 10 worst states for speed traps are:

1. Vermont
2. New Hampshire
3. Michigan
4. Delaware
5. Oklahoma
6. Rhode Island
7. Louisiana
8. Illinois
9. West Virginia
10. and Colorado.

I bet none of are surprised that Illinois made that list, are we?

The 10 states that have the FEWEST speed traps are:

1. Alaska
2. North Dakota
3. Mississippi
4. South Dakota
5. Kentucky
6. Montana
7. Hawaii
8. Nebraska
9. Arizona
10. and North Carolina
