The staff from Radio Pontiac will be at Lu’s Sports Bar and Grill Friday from 4 to 6 broadcasting live and giving people a chance to win Styx and Cheap Trick concert tickets for their upcoming show Friday, June 17, at Grange Grove at Memorial Stadium at the University of Illinois.

The crew will be giving away one pair of concert tickets and other fun prizes and the only stipulation is you must be present to win.

Todd Wineburner had the chance to interview Ricky Phillips who has been playing bass and guitar for the Styx for more than a decade, and Phillips talked about his lengthy career.

“I started my first band when I was 12 or 13, but those were pipe dreams. I was watching the Beatles, sitting on the living room floor on Sunday night watching Ed Sullivan. I just didn’t know when to stop and it’s led me to where we are today, having this conversation and it’s been quite a crazy ride,” Phillips said.

Lu’s Sports Bar and Grill is located at 152 East Main Street in Dwight.
