The University of Illinois Extension is hosting the Clover Chef Cooking Challenge Thursday, June 16, from 9 to 3 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pontiac.

Sara Attig, 4-H Program Coordinator for the Extension, details the program.

“The kids are going to learn some things about nutrition and making healthy choices. They’ll have a chance to find a recipe they’d like to cook, sticking with a budget and shopping for that and actually getting some hands on experience making their creation and of course, they’d have to use the secret ingredient,” Attig said.

This event is for children ages 12 to 18 and those interested need to register for the class before Thursday by either calling 842-1776 or visiting www.web.extension.illinois.edu/lmw/register.
