The Livingston County Master Gardeners are taking a regular spot at Pontiac’s Farmer’s Market.
Although the market happens every Saturday morning, the Master Gardeners will be there the first Saturday of each month. Kelly Allsup, University of Illinois Extension horticulture educator, has more.
“They’re always going to have some interactive activity. This next time, they’re going to talk about bees and pollinators. We’re going to have some live drones at the market. They don’t sting, so we can actually have the kids pick up and hold those bees. Then we’ll teach them a little more about how they can build their own pollinator garden,” Allsup said.
