The Iron Pigs Motorcycle Club is holding the Casey Kohlmeier Memorial Ride Saturday, with check-in happening at 10 a.m. at Baby Bulls Fine Dining in Pontiac.
Michael Wittenberg, president of the Iron Pigs, has more.
“Hopefully the bike ride will be back by 4 in the afternoon. A band called Cougar Bait will start playing at 4:30. Bike ride includes a chicken dinner from Baby Bulls. We’re having a silent auction with several items that were donated by a lot of people in the county. There will also be large items that will be part of the loud auction, where they will be bidding out loud. It’s going to be a lot of fun,” Wittenberg said.
The Iron Pigs is a nation-wide motorcycle club comprised of law enforcement officers, firemen and correctional officers. This ride is in honor of Officer Casey Kohlmeier and his K-9 partner, Draco, who were killed in the line of duty October 30, 2013. This ride benefits the Boys and Girls Club of Livingston County, where Kohlmeier was a board member.
