Dwight has a full day of Fourth of July activities planned, taking place at the Dwight Grade School.
Janice Lauritsen, executive director of the Dwight Economic Alliance, detailed everything happening.
“We will have carnival games for children ten and younger. The Dwight Fire Department will have a fire engine there for ‘touch a truck’ and they will also have their smoke house. Streator Onized Credit Union will have some light up items they’ll be selling and they’ll also have airbrush tattoos available for sale. The Dwight Economic Alliance will also have a tent there and we will be selling popcorn, water and soda,” Lauritsen said.
The fireworks will begin at dusk, and Lauritsen says people need to sit close, because there will be several ground displays.
