The Livingston County Public Health Department is taking appointments for school and sports physicals.

These physicals will be conducted by an Advanced Practice Nurse by appointment only and Linda Rhodes, health education and marketing director for the department, explains why they conduct the physicals.

“We started doing physicals a few years ago because we found the medical providers in the community were overwhelmed because so many of our kids play sports and these are time-consuming physicals, so just another avenue for the people in the community to have another place to go and have the proper physical done,” Rhodes said.

The physicals will be conducted on July 25 and August 1 and 8 and those appointments can be made by calling 844-7174 extension 210.
