The annual Livingston County Ag and 4-H Fair kicked off Monday morning to hot and wet weather, but participants were out bright and early for project judging.

Judging began on some projects as early as last week, with many continuing Monday. Samantha Johns of Pontiac already got her scores for her Food Demonstration project.

“I got an A rating, and I was the 8-13 champion for food demonstrations and I made Blueberry Crumble Tarts. Tuesday I have four pigs to show and then Thursday is our sale, so I will be selling one pig,” Johns said of her projects.

The Fair continues through Thursday at the 4-H Fairgrounds northwest of Pontiac.
