The Pontiac Bloodmobile will be at the Pontiac VFW on Wednesday from 11:30 to 4:30.
Bloodmobile chairperson Dixie Vogel put a special call out for assistance with donations in this slower time of year.
“The biggest reason we have difficulty collection sufficient blood products in the summer is people go on vacation and nine months of the year, we have blood drives in high schools and colleges and that changes over the summer time. So, we are very short and I think the best way to make that up is for high school kids to come in and donate. They could make a huge difference for us,” Vogel said.
Fairbury is also having a blood drive that day at the Methodist Church.
