The “Phoenix New Times” put out a list of ‘The 16 Worst Songs to Ever Reach #1.’  Of course, it’s subjective depending on your taste. I have before me, the top 10.

1.  The USA for Africa anthem “We Are the World”, 1985 . . . #1 for four weeks

2.  “We Built This City”, Starship, 1985 . . . #1 for four weeks

3.  “Bad Day”, Daniel Powter, 2006 . . . #1 for five weeks

4.  “Macarena (Bayside Boys Mix)”, Los Del Rio, 1996 . . . #1 for 14 weeks

5.  “I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That)”, Meat Loaf, 1993 . . . #1 for five weeks

6.  “Total Eclipse of the Heart”, Bonnie Tyler, 1983 . . . #1 for four weeks
