The annual Parkpalooza returns to Pontiac Saturday with events beginning at 3 p.m.
Jerry Hayner, director of Pontiac Parks and Recreation, has more.
“This is our fourth annual Parkpalooza. This is a special event for the community. Mayor Bob Russell and the Pontiac City Council have put together an agenda with a lot of different activities that they’ve determined will be free to the community. So come out to Humiston Riverside Park and have a great time – free picnic for the day and lots of entertainment,” Hayner said.
Events include the Cardboard Boat Regatta, family games, a free community picnic and performances by the Joliet American Legion Band, Vermillion Players, Tim Dial and the Dueling Pianos. The Mighty Vermillion Duck race also happens at 6 p.m.
