The Mighty Vermillion Duck Race was met with decent weather and a large crowd Saturday during Pontiac’s Parkpalooza.

Gary Beckman, executive director for the Boys and Girls Club of Livingston County, gave some details of the event.

“It ended up being a great race, a great day for us, everything went well. The top prize of $4,000 was given away to Amy Cobb. Congratulations to her and congratulations to all of our prize winners. Really, when it boils down to it, our Club kids end up being the big winners, due to the fact that the Pontiac community and surrounding communities support the Duck Race which supports our after school program, which the kids benefit greatly from,” Beckman said.
