Congressman Adam Kinzinger made a stop in Pontiac Thursday to host “Understanding Veterans’ Benefits.”

Kinzinger is a veteran himself and said he finds it important to bring everyone together so finding answers to their questions about veterans’ benefits is easier.

“For me, it’s giving people an opportunity to see what’s available to ask questions. We get, in our office, a lot of people who call, confused, about benefits they or their family can receive. We try to hook them up with the right people, but I think to put it all in one place and hear it from the horse’s mouth is the right way to go. So it’s an opportunity to just bring everybody together, all the players together, and hopefully help everybody out,” Kinzinger said.

Kinzinger was joined by people from the Hines VA hospital and the Chicago Regional Benefits Office.
