The Basketball Museum of Illinois Golf Outing is happening today at the Pontiac Elks Country Club.

Today’s events begin at 9 a.m. for a kids clinic, with registration for the outing beginning at 9:30.

Mark Myre, chief fundraiser for the museum, has more.

“People can come out. I’ve played in celebrity golf outings in the past that were all blocked off. This isn’t going to be blocked off. It’s an open club. We want people to come out. Dinner’s at 4:00 and a live auction afterwards. We’re going to auction off five beautiful items,” Myre said.

Colt Knost from the PGA Tour will do the kids clinic and will also play one hole with every group. He will also be available for autographs beginning at 10:30.

All funds raised benefit the Basketball Museum of Illinois.
