One child was injured during a small bedroom fire on Sunday in Pontiac.

According to Pontiac Fire Chief Scott Runyon, firefighters were called to Redwood Manor shortly after 2:30 after the fire was reported. Runyon said one child received a slight burn injury from the fire, which is believed to have been caused by a burning candle.

Runyon said the child’s parents were home at the time of the fire. The scene was cleared after about an hour and no other injuries were reported.
