The David Ferrara Stroke Awareness Golf Outing is happening at Wolf Creek Golf Course in Cayuga Sunday at 1.

Organizer John Ferrara explained that this golf outing is in honor of his dad, who passed away after having a stroke, and the goal is to help others.

“The money is going to the Danville VA hospital, which is where my dad pretty much went every month. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. We’re going to donate, not the money, but we’re going to be able to go out and spend the money on accessories to help those who have suffered from strokes that are at the hospital down in Danville,” Ferrara said.
