The Pontiac Bloodmobile will be at the Pontiac VFW Wednesday from 11:30 to 4:30.
Chairperson Dixie Vogel said now is the time to donate, considering what is happening across the United States.
“We are recovering from a summer shortage, which was very severe. The other reason, in the southern states, there’s been flooding and rain and disasters there and obviously, blood drives are cancelled. The need continues. Possibly more people need blood because of that situation. We try to share if we have excess in the area and send extra to the areas where there’s been some type of natural disaster,” Vogel said.
Appointments aren’t necessary. For more information, call Vogel at 815-358-2444.
