A Pontiac woman who spent two weeks teaching in China will be talking about her experience at the First Baptist Church of Pontiac Sunday at 6 p.m.

Abbey Mattox said she went to China to teach English, but she learned a lot in the process.

“I hope people appreciate the freedom they have to worship the Lord and to attend Christian school, because they don’t have that freedom in China like we do. For me, personally, it’s been eye opening and to development my relationship more with the Lord, because there are just so many more chances to let that relationship flourish,” Mattox said.

Mattox has been scheduled to speak at several churches and private schools throughout the summer and has a few more appearances scheduled after Sunday.
