For the first time in its 67 year history, the Central States Threshermen’s Reunion has been cancelled.
Dave Herz, vice president of the Reunion, said it was a tough call to make.
“There’s just too much water and too much mud. If we were to do anything at all, it would just leave big ruts in the ground. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to just reschedule it, like you would for maybe another kind of an event. This would have been our 67th annual reunion and it’s never been totally rained out,” Herz said.
The parade will happen, rain or shine, and will step off at 1:15 Sunday.
